Yesterday and today

Yesterday I didn't blog as my finger was really painful and it didn't help that Mills caught it by accident.
It was Ok during the day as I worked on some alterations that came in Monday are are going to be collected on Friday. They were four dresses that needed shortening all had been pinned to the length required.
Ebay post - this time I was at the BACK of the queue for a change.

Today I finished off the alterations I prepared yesterday. And also shortened Nan's trousers, repaired Mills tracksuit bottoms lining. No post for me today - I'm waiting for two crochet videos that I treated myself too and yet more Ebay buying some wool needles a set for mum and a set for me, well for Mills to sew up her project. And yet more book four in total - I will defiantly have to sort out my shelf space and find different areas for tools, and notions boxes.

Ebay post again this tile only a short queue and I only had one parcel this time have four left awaiting payment and I hope to post them BEFORE the weekend.

I haven't brought fabric for ages yet the room is still overflowing in the New Year I will have to set myself challenges and COMPLETE them too! To make up items and clear the fabric and also the wool - since I learnt to knit the wool stash is quite big too! I have to many hobbies and not enough time.

Where is Christmas???

Hubby was working from home today which is really nice as not only do I have company for the day but also I get to have a lie in until 7:45am. Oh what a good life I have!!

Today I finished my wrapping all the presents for the girls, which I really enjoyed Christmas music playing oh so lovely. Christmas is just so magical no matter what your age.

Parcelled up 6 items ready to post . Items that sold on Ebay and posted them after picking Mills up from school.

Did a little tidying in my room but still a way to go yet... I want to try and free some more book shelve space. I just love books just need more room for all my books ...my ideal house would have a library room well perhaps I could suggest to hubby to have an extension built (LOL) and it be a library room with the steps to retch the yop shelves well I can DREAM.

Cooked a Chicken Pie for dinner today and everyone enjoyed, this time I followed the recipe form Jamie Oliver book rather than my own to male a change and it was really tasty Bex enjoyed another small portion after her presentation.

Lunch time we went to Bluewater but it really lacks Christmas atmosphere even the so called Winter Wonderland. We had A Bratwurst but it was no where near as tasty as the Bratwurst we had in Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. So disappointed we then went for a coffee and muffin at Costa in Waterstones but once again no Christmas music or atmosphere. When I took my girls to see Santa it e=was all so magical but now that seems to have all disappeared., the Santa grotto's are no where near as magical as they were oh its such a shame as I really love this time of year yet I just wish the shops and towns would have that magical atmosphere too!! I'm thinking about taking my girls up to Hyde Park when they break up from school, but may have other plans yet.

I had a lovely phone call from a customer to tell me how delighted she was with the alterations I did as her husband picked them up lunchtime. She said she just had a fashion show and was really looking forward to wearing them on her holiday and will certainly pass my name on and recommend me to all her friends. Its was so nice to get the phone call like that I felt so good and more so because she took the time and trouble to ring me and let me know how delighted she was. it really made my day!!

Not only did that make my day but my daughters presentation evening was lovely and I'm just so proud of her and look forward to her next two years at the school.

Christmas time - still shopping

Hubby was working at Chersty today so after dropping the girls at school I went to Bexleyheath to hopefully finish Christmas shopping, the girls stockings to fill thats all. Thre is NO Chritmas atomoshere about at all, in fact its really hard to believe its December and its CHRISTMAS, I really love this time of year when everything should be magical no matter what your age but its absolutyly dead no or very lttle music, happiness or Christmas spirt about. Its all such a shme I know the |Credit Crunch is around but smiles and happiness do not cost anything!

Well shopping went well and I got watch batteries done 2 mills, 1 bex and 3 more of mine just my three swatch watches to get battries now. A fair amount of gifts for the girls stockung just hope they like them. I treated myself in TK Max to a filofax £16.99 and some slppper socks £2.00.

I then went on to Bluewater and went in one of the girls favorire shops just hope they like the bits I chose. I brought some fabric from John Lewis hopefully now Mills quilt will finally get finished, its been ongoing for the last 2 years.

Popped in to get the Ebay parcels before picking Mills up from school, once picked up Mills went straight to local post office and got the parcels on the way most Ebay itme that sold and two were from my web shop.

Getting things done

Hubby was working at chersty today so an early start to the day. I got a fair amount done but not quite as much as i wanted to but one main thing is I FINALLY got round to phoning the two customers - I still have their items from October - Had they forgotten?? Well Margret is coming tomorrow to collect and Lorraine is collecting on Friday.

I did a few some 'alterations'/ repairing for Bex - Remove labels from two t-shirts and also I finally got round to replacing some of the crystals on bex jacket, she was really pleased but I need to go and get some red hot fix crystals. I hear Ebay calling!! but I'm going to check the price in hobby craft first.

I did some customer alterations I didn't mange to complete them all but I did mange to take in three pairs of trousers, shorten the shoulder straps on a dress and take in a dress and take in a skirt.. I have left to do take in two skirts and new pockets on a pair of jeans which I will do tomorrow. As the jeans aer going to be collected on Friday and the other alterations Tuesday next week.

I did Ebay post, Ebay a bit hit and miss but things are selling, I'll probably list for the next seven days before stopping for the Christmas season. I hoping to make about £160 before Christmas -wishful I think.

Wow, Didn't take Long!!

I'm so pleased that my Ebay is doing well - the Negative comment somebody wrote (even tough I gave a refund! ) is NOW on the second page already and I have had some wonderful, delightful comments since and so it picked my spirits back up. First time i got the Neg comment I saw my score went to 99.2% but since I have seen it go 99.3% and NOW its 99.4% so hopefully by the end of the year it will be 99.5% or even higher!! Just lets hope everyone that buys leaves Positive feedback from now on!!!

I'm hoping my Ebay items will sell and even hoping that I will get lots of counter bids too as I hope to get a few bits for the wii as family presents for Christmas.

It was the usual day today - even managed to get the bags for my Ebay items, so it was a great day, had lots of fun on the Wii especially the fitness mat.

Hubby listed another 15 items today so I have over 90 items listed now.

I so disappointed that there is NO Christmas atmosphere at all - Eltham high street you wouldn't even know that Christmas is just round the corner and also Bluewater isn't that Christmassy!!! Where have the Christmas Carols gone?? And the atmosphere?? I know the credit crunch is around but surly that is more reason to get everyone feeling good and Christmas Carols, mulled wine , roasted chestnuts, people smiling at the shops etc

Strange things happen

Hubby working at the Chersty office today- even put aftershave on today? He doesn't normally!!

Well I have three customers today
  1. 9:30 - collection but I did not shorten the skirt as I thought it would spoil the garment
  2. 11:00am Ebay collection hoover Dyson £68
  3. 1:00pm Jeans pockets to be replaced.
The rest of the day I shall be finishing off dolls clothes and still planning the work/ projects for next year and thinking of new achievements to aim for perhaps one should be -:
  • always keep the blog updated and always upload the photos each day and
  • secondly not to spend so much time on Ebay.!!!

It has been a grey dull gloomy day today - matched how I was feeling ! I just love the sunshine as it brightens my day but certainly no sun shone today very windy and cold too!!!

Parcels and Annoyance

Oh I'm so annoyed!! In one way but not in another as I've been so lucky to have escaped Negative feedback but I do think when you refund someone for the item which I did and let them keep it!!- For them then to leave me negative feedback is discussing!! Well with that said I feel so much better- I've only got another 7 people to leave feedback which I HOPE will all be positive and the negative will disappear to the second page with only 25 showing on the page anyway. Oh that feedback was left yesterday by the way and I did not get round to doing my blog for obvious reasons!

Well I have been busy with an alteration that came in yesterday- take in a jacket shorten the sleeves and take in the trousers and also I have been listing on Ebay like mad I wrote up 15 items (dolls clothes) and took photos of them ready for hubby to upload this evening. I have also been busy finishing off dolly outfits.

Another parcel came for me today bits and bobs of sewing items that I treated myself too all ready to begin the New year with all good intentions. Yesterday my parcel was tweezers that I ordered from the web as they were so cheap (but excellent quality by the way) I ordered 12 different types/pairs so I'll always have a pair handy as I defiantly need them when threading the overlocker or blind hemmer!! I'm not to sure if I told you about my latest Ebay buying Yoyo makers from clover, they are really good I've had a little play and I must get on and finish Mills quilt as the smallest size is just perfect for an idea I have - by the way this quilt has been an on going project since 2006 - it may just get finished by the time she is 18!!

Lovely day

Mills was at a sleepover so just the 3 of us to go over to mums today. We went up the high street and could not resist going into M&S to see if they had anything on sale and fabulous they had the trousers in my size that I liked yesterday at Bluewater and also a t-shirt and trousers all in the sale £56. (of which £10 was on underwear) So more alterations!! Which I probably will do tomorrow as I want to be as busy as a bee and try and forget about Monday.

Made more progress on my Love Knit bag- finished the gusset section!

Listed another 16 dolls outfits on Ebay, well I wrote them up and photographed them - Hubby loaded them up to Ebay for me. Things are selling but not going that high but it all adds up and gives me extra cash to spoil myself! At present I'm looking at 4D sketch software package.

I added a book on Amazon wish list today - I saw it while in Bexleyheath but always like to check if Amazon sell it cheaper and it is 1/2 price at Amazon.

What a wonderful day!

Hubby working from home today so I enjoy a cup of tea in bed before getting up. Had to get up as i had a wrap a present for Mills as she was going to a sleepover straight fro school so I wanted to make sure she had everything.

Ebay post and listing yet again on the most ever listed I have 111 items listed now as as of 23:48 14 are selling and days still to go more many!! Watchers are appearing and disappearing too but more watchers are appearing all the time than disappearing just wish they would bid!!! Bex is hoping to make some money with things she sorted out of her room over the hols one is selling so far.

Went shopping to Bexleyheath as its getting closer to my op and I'm getting really snappy and short tempered as I very nervous especially as I fear needles and any thing medical. I'm glad I went to Bexleyheath I got some great bargains. Not so lucky at Bluewater in the evening.

We went to Ed's for a meal this evening to cheer my self up and try and forget about Monday. I treated us for a change £38.98. The second time for the day as hubby and I went at lunchtime for a coffee at Costa and Siobhan spotted us too as she goes there with friends after work. Hubby brought me the latest flair magazine and now I'm looking at buying 4d sketch software that was advertised in there. Great magazine just need the time to get on with the projects.

Projects in progress at the moment
  • knitted babe doll for Bex
  • knitted babe doll for mills
  • quilt for mills (this has been ongoing for the last two years)
  • art embroidery doll (this has been ongoing for the last year)
  • Love knitting bag
  • Little teddies (of which mum gave me some wool - so I really want to some of these finished) next week when I'm resting hopefully!!
  • loads of dolls outfits
  • alterations / fixing
  • the above list is just of the top of my head I'm sure there more!
I have made good progress on clearing my workroom so hopefully the new year i can start a fresh and finish each project as I go ....that I don't think will ever happen as I have a lot of interest but I can try, well perhaps one project in various subjets (ie: knitting, free machine embridery, doll making ) is OK?

Christmas Shopping

Today starts by rise and shine at 8:30. Before going over to mums I phone a customer to rearrange collection for Sunday morning instead of 6pm this evening and also peg out 3 loads of washing as the forecast looked good on the TV this morning while drinking my tea which I got up and made this morning (but hubby did offer!).

Took dad's trousers back after having them for about 4/5 weeks to shorten which i finally got round to doing in the week as I had a lot of alterations come in so fitted dads in too!!

Aunt Barbara and Margaret were coming to stay at mums over the weekend we saw them for about an hour before leaving to take Mills to her party but we will go go over tomorrow.

Mills has a party to go to this evening -needs to be dropped off at 5pm and then we went Christmas shopping over to Lakeside as I want to get as much done as poss before my op. as I'm not sure how I will feel after and before you know it Christmas is her so with all the shopping and wrapping done I will certainly have a relaxing Christmastime.

We did really well and virtually finished just a few little bits left, it went really well and was enjoyable too!

A fabulous ending to the day I won £10 on the lottery and when I checked my emails I made on sale on my web shop £19.98 for dolls clothes.

Early Start

Hubby was working in Chertsy today so an early start. I really did not want to get out of bed this morning but hubby breakfast needed preparing and also be dropped off at the station. Well once I was up it wasn't too bad. Came back and drank my tea hubby made me and then started the alterations that came in yesterday...
  1. Taper blue trousers
  2. Taper grey trousers
  3. Black trousers taper and shorten
  4. Jacket take in as pinned
  5. Jacket sleeves button cuff shorten.
Well I managed to complete all the trouser alterations and just the lining to sew back on the taking in of the jacket.
Had breakfast break at 8:30am and made myself the same as hubby grapefruit, orange and kiwi mine with almond slivers and a few sour cherries that I forgot about on hubby's ...never mind I'm sure he'll forgive me!

Hubby phoned me this morning and confirmed that the insurance will cover it... and although I'm pleased that it will be done at the hospital I wanted I'm absolutely terrified I hate injections, blood any thing medical (even when other people talk about illness or ops they've had i get queasy! ) but I have got to have the small op so I am just going to have to try and be brave..... but I know when it comes to it I'm going to be so nervous and tearful as I find to it so hard to cope with anything medical especially when it comes to them taking blood samples and needles (injections)

At 11am I had another customer Steven which came with a pile of clothes that he sorted out of his cupboard.
  1. Cords trousers shorten
  2. light fawn (grayish trousers shorten
  3. Brown trousers shorten
  4. trousers shorten with turn-up
  5. trousers shorten with turn-up
  6. sweatshirt sleeve shorten
  7. 2x t-shirt shorten two inches
  8. 2x jeans repair pockets

Mills went to her old school today to visit and I picked her up at 3:25 and then dropped her with her friends Partytime, Mills was dropped back at 8pm and had a lovey time at the party. They went to the cinema and KFC afterwards and Krispy Creme doughnuts.

Bex and I had a little wonder around Bluewater and I brought an A5 folder and plain and lined pads and I want to create a written journal which is something that I have been wanting to do for ages start with all good intentions but I'll say not more I think we all have good intentions but sometimes fail to complete BUT i do hope this time I will mange it!!!

Clearing Out...Tidying up

Bex was having a good clear out of her room today. One black bag full of rubbish, a white sack full of recycling, two big carrier bags full of things to Ebay, Mills rescued some card making, bags and books and myself salvaged the beads from an old 'belt' and also a from a bag and a few other little things such as keyrings and finally a box of old school books, brownie work to go to the loft...her bedroom is nice and tidy!!!......How long will it last??? Well after that clear out prehaps there isn't much to left to be left untidy!

I was also having a tidy in my room today and managed to find space....well the bag of toy stuffing will easily fit into the shoe cupboard!! Then I piled the giant ikea bag full of fabrics in its space so now I can see extaly I hope to wrk through them and get them made into items to sell!! This ikea bag kept flying between my room and the study between customers and it was getting on evryones nerves so not I have solved that but still plenty more fabrics and wool ( now I've learnt to knit) around.....Strangle hubby never says a word even when I buy more fabruc or wool??? Thers just no stopping me ifs its a bargain I cannot resist and always have projects in mind. I just need to find the time!!

I had a customer this evening the last time she came to me was in 2000/1. So I will be busy tomorrow working through that. I also have another customer tomorrow at 11am bringing me about 4 pairs of trousers to alter. Its nice as its keeping me busy and the extra cash is always nice as I want to go on a shopping spree for clothes some time in the near future, something to look forward too when I'm feeling better. The customer work this evening will bring me in £54.50.

Keeping Busy

Oh I'm so frustrated after waiting so long to get my new bathroom which was fitted in June I now can use for the time been (next 10-12weeks) as the doctor has told me not to have baths and after my op. I can not have a bath for 6 weeks!!! BUT hubby and Mills are still having baths!!! Oh LUCKY them!!!

The poly pellets arrived that I brought from Ebay arrived toady so I started making up the teddy which I have been knitting.

I caught up with customer alterations and took in two dresses today. I have a customer coming tomorrow evening and also a customer on Friday so business is picking up. Which I'm glad as it keeps me busy so takes my mind off the small op. which I need. I hate hospitals well in fact I'm terrified I fear needles and all procedures even talking medical sends me queasy.

I have been doing a high fibre diet as the doctor mentioned it may help not that I think I needed to upt the fibre but I have and its certainly helping with bringing my weight down.... well today it did which made me happy 9:4 so I just hope it keeps going down as I set my goal (ages ago) for 8:6 so its one good thing so far.

I have tons of item on Ebay which hubby listed over the weekend the most I've ever had on Ebay in one go...Just hope it sells.

Hubby was over in Dublin yesterday on business and he brought me back a really cute tiny ted - I just LOVE it- its just so sweet and the girls a lovely necklace each. Its lovely now he works from home 3 days a week altough that may change if they win the contract, but he still may be able to manage one day a week from home.

My Day

Started the day with housework and ironing. The rest of the day I finished of dolls clothes that I've started as too many bags and boxes are in my room with UFO's........and when I have a customer I move them into the study and I want to try and get some organisation in my room and stop the "tooing and froing". I made good progress over the poast two days but still a way to go.

I'm hoping Ebay sales will pick up too as that will also create more room for the new items I make, therefore clearing the overload of fabric in my room!!!

I'm looking forward going to Ally Pally with Mills on Saturday. What wonderful items shall I bring home this time???

My next appointment at the hospital is Tues, the scan went well and I'm hoping the consultant will be able to tell me exactly want is causing the pain and the treatment that I will need, altough I'm TERRIFIED as i fear needles and procedures but I shall be glad to get rid of the pain as its so uncomfortable at times. Today I was feeling not to bad until 3:30 when the pain got quite intense so i took two painkillers as I want to enjoy Saturday. I shall be glad to see the back of 2008 as its certainly hasn't been a good year in the way of health. First Hubby in March/April and now me i first was the Dr 10th Sept so I want to get it sorted whatever!

So worried

Went to the hospital yesterday, feel a little better but not much as I'm still extremely nervous and worried about the tests that lie ahead especially the Colposcopy in fact I.m terrified!!!

M
onday they are phoning me for the date of the scan after that I need to book for the Colposcopy, Oh I just wished that it would have all been over and done with last Saturday although I knew it was only a consultation appointmant. The hospital that I went to was Falkham manor (private- as I'm covered on hubbys work plan) very nice hospital but I'm STILL so frightened and nervous. I am glad I'm on the plan as I've seen three Doctors and they were useless!!

Well its 8:30 and hubby has been happy most of the day as I was more relaxed but since because of the pain and discomfort I've been in most the day have got very worked up, therefore feeling frightened and nervous yet again....yet hubby seems not to understand well you met the consultant and hes given you good news that you will not need an operation BUT that still doesn't calm me as I still have to face the Coloposcopy!!! He gave me a quick cuddle and has now has gone to clean the kitchen for me came back with a nice cup and tea to sit and chat to try and calm me down and reasurre me that evrything will be jst FINE.

Well I haven't got much more to report.

Good Day Today

I managed to finish the two bridesmaids alterations ready to be collected tomorrow, along with two other collections, hopefully the customers will all turn up.

Started listing on Ebay again now hopefully it will bring me in a little more pocket money.

Feeling much better today, not to much discomfort, I think I'll be wasting the spealist time but the nurse booked in in so its beat to get it checked I suppose.

Allsorts

Hubby working at home the past two days. I have been working on Mills quilt which is taking time!! Mills has settled into her secondary school really well.

This morning I went to Bexleyhealth to collect my bracelet and finally got round to remembering to take all my watches along for new batteries. I shall collect them tomorrow as I only put in an hour on the meter as hubby was working at home.

Made a little more progress on Mills quilt.

I played on the Wii fit this afternoon but I WILL have to put more effort into losing as I'm just staying steady ie lose a couple put a couple back on I shall really have to make an effort to lose the 12lb.

My Simply Knitting mag came yesterday and I have the next project planned the bag...but I must get round to finishing the projects I have already started first. I'm terrible for starting new projects before finishing the old ones I must make it a new year resolution to start and finish a project each time!!

Busy and Enjoyable Day

Up early this morning as hubby was in Chersty again so I got on with the alterations that came in yesterday. I completed all three dresses by 10am.

Postman rang the bell and went I answered he said sorry I thought I had a parcel for you holding a blue packet but it wasn't....I'll look in the van and come back if I have....Well he did come back hubby has been ordering from Bears by Mail again......but I'll just have to wait as it was addressed to him.

We went out and got Bex school trousers and I shorted them and halved the size of the waistband as Bex likes hipsters trousers and they seem hard to come by now. And also shortened Mills school trousers.

While out a new 70% off bookshop has opened in Bexleyheath so I can not resist as you know if you follow my blog Bex did try and stop me out I came with yet another book only £3.90. Over to Sussex bookshop and yes yet another book ......but I did go in to look for this book as i was it a while ago in the shop but was in a hurry so I glad they still had it.

Enjoyed playing on the Wii carnival games again.

Tomorows List- \TO DO

  1. Bex school tousers go and buy /then shorten
  2. Mills school trousers shorten
  3. Kathryn dress alterations x3
  4. Babe dolls
  5. Customer 7pm
  6. Have time with the girls having fun on the Wii!!!

A very enjoyable Day

Day starts early again with hubby working in Chertsy and I think the rest of the week will be early starts too!! I'm thinking about buying him a bike for Xmas LOL!!

Came back sat down and drank my tea and then finished the ironing so I cloud have a clear room to do the bridesmaid alteration. I finished the alteration by 10am and all went very well no problems I had to shorten the straps and the length.

Bex got up about 10 and played on the Wii for a while. I made a start on finishing the Babe doll I started a couple of weeks ago and hoping to have it finished by September, I attached the hair and threaded all the loose ends and cut off the surplus. While tidying up I came across a babe doll that I started knitting when I first got the book so I'm hoping to finish that one too for Mills. I also came across the quilt that I MUST finish before Christmas I'm busy looking for beads or buttons to embellish it with. ( Mills Quilt.....I just noticed while looking at an old blog that I used to do this was a challenged to be completed by Xmas 2007- well I obviously failed miserably there!! that was dated 28th July 2007, although a lot has happened since then!!!, so it SHALL be finished by Xmas 2008 and I think Mills may celebrate! and I wouldn,t blame her)

Had great fun on the Wii playing a new game that hubby brought in Norwich as the girls wanted an accessories pack and as it was two for £30 we suggested getting a game I enjoyed the most was A Day at the Races, such good fun, I recommend this game very much so much variety and such good fun especially as a family.

Kathryn turned up at 11am as booked for dress alterations. She brought me three dresses to alter two to be tapered on the sides and one to take up the shoulders. We had a lovely chat about Munich and the girls and education. She has three boys herself all grown up well her eldest will br going to 6th form.

The day was also spent trying to get this blog up to date with all the holidays too! But |I am also enjoying the last week with the girls before they go back to school.

Tuesday, 26 August 2008

Fairly Busy

Days starts at 5:50am as hubby is working in Chertsy today so I will get a fair amount done today.

There's plenty of washing and ironing to catch up on, with going away and then again straight away with a night in Norwich as a family...... Elephant exploring but well worth it as it a fabulous time... nothing planned now (well at the moment!!)

So after 7 washing loads all the washing is done. I managed to get 6 loads pegged out and almost dry so ironed most of it and finished the towels and underwear in the tumbler... so all up to date until next week!!! Washing / Ironing is just like a roundabout it never stops sometimes I just wish for throw away clothes or self cleaning clothes...well that's just wishful thinking!!!

A customer booked in for today turned up on time, a bridesmaid dress needed shortening and also the straps shortening, so I hope to do that tomorrow.

Bex was a friends for most of the day , Mills was very good and spent time studying and at 4:00pm we went Sainsbury shopping.

Well that was my day not very exciting but nice to report anyway as sometimes life can seem quite monotonous but when reading other blogs you then realize its all part of life that's why i like to try and blog most days.

Norwich Photos

Go Elepants Trail goes on.....

It was great fun hunting them out trying to spot them. I have to either make a papier mache elephant or probably in my case sew one in calico and decorate it. A good fun project, another project to add to the never ending list.

Go Elephants!!! Norwich

Following the Trail around Norwich.

There were lots of little Elephants hidden in various places but we did not have a map or any idea where they were, Bex actually spotted the first one in Jarrolds window and between the girls they spotted a few more a long the way.

Had a fabulous weekend with lots of exercise as well as coffee breaks but we managed to photo and admire over 50 of the elephants. We stayed in the Premier Inn which I think was a great location parking nearby which is free of charge with the Premier Inn (So we saved £10 - car parking free the whole time we were in Norwich).

We had breakfast in the morning eat as much as you like £7.50 but I liked it better at Liverpool Premier inn as the cooked you helped yourself but with Norwich its a much smaller restaurant and we had to order the cooked but you still helped yourself to croissants, muffins, fruit cereal, toast etc.. juice and coffees etc.... There are three choices for breakfast 5:50 for continental yourself as much as you like and also 2:95 for a grab and go breakfast although the latter two are not advertised so much!

Took over 200 photos and look forward to doing another trail sometime next year hopefully I will come across one ; Superlambananas in Liverpool I knew about since we were having a holiday there the Go Elephants Trail ame across while on the net - actually I was trying to find a sewing pattern for a superlambanana and come upon the Go Elephants Trail??? But great find as I really enjoyed hunting them out and taking photos it was a great weekend --- I'm not so sure about the rest of the family was so pleased that I came up with this wonderful walking weekend LOL.. They seemed to have a nice time anyway!! I will put the whole of the trail we did on my holiday blog.
Aren't these Ellies just so Cool?

If only I had the space and also could affort to bid for them wouldn't that be so brill.

The weather was fairy good although it was raining first thing Sunday which made hubby a little grumpy but not that much especailly as I wanted to try and complete the trail . The rain did ease off a lot after a coffee and rest break in Nero for 20 minute, fabulous we were qble to carry on our trail.

Oh no even more book from The Works in Norwich.....I cannot pass a bargain book shop!!
They only cost be £4.97 for all three.

We left Norwich 3:30 and arrived back home by 5:17 ready to relax and put our feet up for the evening. We did do a lot of walking over the weekend. I did hint at going to Great Yarmouth as love the 2p push machines (and the girls do too!) But it was a little too late really and I think hubby was a little tired too and he was doing the driving.

Thursday

Leaving Munich today so spent the morning around the town and had lunch around the Marienplatz, quite expensive place to eat but it was a lovely atmosphere and made the last day fabulous and wanting to return sometime again. The historic carved figures of the Glockspiel in the town hall tower come alive while having lunch so the square was pretty crowed with people filming and taking pictures.

Tuesday

Neuschwanstein and Ludwig ll
A daytrip from Munich to Fussen in the Schwangau is an unforgettable experience.
We booked this trip on line before we went, definitely worth it although you do need to be fit as the walk to the castle takes about 1/2 hour and is up hill. ( there is a horse and carriage and also a bus that will take you most of the way but not all for a cost.....the queues were
very long but we enjoyed a slow stroll up to Neuschwanstein)

The photos here are of Linderhof Castle the first stop on our day tour.

Wednesday

We covered such a lot today although very annoying that we could not find the beer garden that we wanted. When we arrived home and looked it up we were just so close!! Never mind its gives an excellent reason to go back one day. As Munich is such a wonderful, beautiful city just great for a long relaxing weekend.

Schwabing and University district
There is a lot a numerous museums, the university, polytechnics, colleges and libraries.

The Victory Gate-designed for victory parades in honour of the Bavarian army, the gate damaged in World War ll, has been restored. The 1958 inscription reads "Dedicated to victory, destroyed in war,an entreaty for peace"

Siegestor ( Victory Gate) Walking Man by J Borofsky
Schwabing has plenty of shops, and pavement cafes of which we enjoyed ice-cream sundae each even though it was only 10:30am. One of the routes highlights in the Walking Man (1995) a 17m (55ft)high sculpture.

Sendlinger Strasse and Sendlinger Tor
One of the oldest shopping streets with several traditional stores.
Olympiapark
We went to the Olympiapark did not go up the tower although it would have been nice but hubby seemed in a hurry to get a lot of things covered today. We went in the BMW showroom for a little bit but I'm not really into cars. After about 1/2 hour we left so didn't really explore that much but I must admit |I was not that impressed with the area and the tower did look like it was closed off as building works was going on.The shopping centre we visited after Olympiapark.
It was just another two stops that's all.
There is lots of shops and places to eat.
Hubby brought me my anniversary gift
a necklace and two charms.
Quite a nice shopping centre but with the pound pour against the Euro things are quite expensive and when prices are shown in both £ and E you can clearly see its cheaper in £'s. Not that we visited Munich for shopping! But a girl must see the shops!!

We ended the day in Munich town centre.

Monday

The day begins with a hop on and off tour that we booked before we went on the internet. An excellent tour that I would recommend to anyone.

So excited

Off to Munich tomorrow so getting packed and making sure everything is just so..... camera, extra cards, batteries charged, chargers, paperwork ect..

So not much to report today. Both the girls went round friends houses 11/12 noon until 5:45 when I went to collect them so I had great time on the Wii Fit as I get the best scores when I'm on my own. And I was able to concentration on my knitting too.

A customer came and collected the dress that I shortened yesterday and she gave me a tip too!!

Non stop all Day

Day starts early with making hubby's breakfast and lunch then dropping him off at the station. Come back and drink the tea he made me, sit down and look through M&M magazine and Lakeland before working through my list.

  1. Sew name tags on uniform and embroider initials
  2. Re-sew buttons on rain mac that I brought in Liverpool
  3. Pam's alterations three skirts to take in
  4. Phone Karen and let her know that her dress is ready for collection.
  5. Ironing and washing
  6. general housework
Well I completed all of the above tasks Pam's alterations taking most of the morning, but I didn't see Mills until 1:30 so I was able to work in peace as Bex kept her self busy watching the Olympics and then drawing. Bex went swimming this afternoon for one hour. Both the girls were really good today, Mills even tidied the lounge and made me a couple of drinks which was really lovely.

Used Digitizer sofeware today along with the janome 9000

Karen is collecting her dress tomorrow.

Sunday 3rd August

We went to Suthport on the train today. It only cost us £7.35. We caught the train from Liverpool Central and it took about 40 minutes.

First thing the girls want to do is to find the 2p push slot machines so the first hour we spent at the amusemients even hubby was gambling as he had a few goes on the grab machines.

We walked to the end of the pier to find an arcad with some OLD penny machines and a cafe!!!

On the walk back we went to Mac'Donalds the girls had meals while hubby and I just had Lattes as we were still full from our breakfast as it was only 11:00am. After that we booked cinema tickets to see Angus, thongs and at 5:15. S in the meantime we walked back to town for the girls to have some more time on the machines, look around the toen centre

Saturday 2nd August

Today on the itinerary Slavery museum, martine museum, Tate, and theatre in the evening.
We started the day walking to Chinatown as Liverpool have a wonderful Chinatown gate and I like to visit Chinatown when I go to a city. Liverpool has a fantastic Gate but that's ALL other then a few restaurants there,s not a lot there!!

Friday 1st August

Day begins with walking to the town centre as I need to get a raincoat, not that i want rain but with the forecast I need to get one just in case. Bargain from Primark £10. Now with that done hubby needs a coffee so Nero it is. Shopping with hubby always involves LOTS of coffee breaks so its lucky ythat I manage to get Bargains to cover the cost of coffeee!!!

Now on to thew World museum.....
and the Walker Art gallery next door.....

Coffee break -----Nero again. The nicest and grandest Nero I've seen.
The average coffee break with the two girls costs us an average of £10...but I must admit we all enjoy the drinks so its certainly worth it!!

Superlambanas around the town.

And now back to shopping I brought some games from Gamestation and two bags. Mills enjoys clothes shopping and brought herself two tops from \Peacocka and a belt from Primark.

In the evening we went to Pizza Express for dinner which was opposite our hotel and it was very tasty and desserts were tasy too.

Hubby and I went to the hoel bar in the evening while the girls watched TV. The views from the hoel bar 1st floor.
