Sunday 3rd August

We went to Suthport on the train today. It only cost us £7.35. We caught the train from Liverpool Central and it took about 40 minutes.

First thing the girls want to do is to find the 2p push slot machines so the first hour we spent at the amusemients even hubby was gambling as he had a few goes on the grab machines.

We walked to the end of the pier to find an arcad with some OLD penny machines and a cafe!!!

On the walk back we went to Mac'Donalds the girls had meals while hubby and I just had Lattes as we were still full from our breakfast as it was only 11:00am. After that we booked cinema tickets to see Angus, thongs and at 5:15. S in the meantime we walked back to town for the girls to have some more time on the machines, look around the toen centre

Saturday 2nd August

Today on the itinerary Slavery museum, martine museum, Tate, and theatre in the evening.
We started the day walking to Chinatown as Liverpool have a wonderful Chinatown gate and I like to visit Chinatown when I go to a city. Liverpool has a fantastic Gate but that's ALL other then a few restaurants there,s not a lot there!!

Friday 1st August

Day begins with walking to the town centre as I need to get a raincoat, not that i want rain but with the forecast I need to get one just in case. Bargain from Primark £10. Now with that done hubby needs a coffee so Nero it is. Shopping with hubby always involves LOTS of coffee breaks so its lucky ythat I manage to get Bargains to cover the cost of coffeee!!!

Now on to thew World museum.....
and the Walker Art gallery next door.....

Coffee break -----Nero again. The nicest and grandest Nero I've seen.
The average coffee break with the two girls costs us an average of £10...but I must admit we all enjoy the drinks so its certainly worth it!!

Superlambanas around the town.

And now back to shopping I brought some games from Gamestation and two bags. Mills enjoys clothes shopping and brought herself two tops from \Peacocka and a belt from Primark.

In the evening we went to Pizza Express for dinner which was opposite our hotel and it was very tasty and desserts were tasy too.

Hubby and I went to the hoel bar in the evening while the girls watched TV. The views from the hoel bar 1st floor.

Thursday 31st July

Travelling

Early start to the day as the taxi was picking us up at 8:00am to take us to Euston station to catch the train to Liverpool. Arrived in plenty of time so brought snacks for the journey the girls had Upper crust rolls, hubby and I had pasties and also brought Millies cookies to enjoy! It was a good journey and arrived at Liverpool at 12:40 and managed to get a taxi to Premier Inn. Too early to book in but they looked after the cases and we went back at 4:00. Fabulous location the Albert Docks so much to see and do and lots of excellent restaurants too!!

Hubby was overjoyed as the hotel was an absolutely perfect location as it was right next door to Costa!! This holiday is going to cost us a fortune!! While waiting for 4:00pm we strolled up to the town to collect the Liverpool cards for attractions but was very disappointed with the small amount of information there was on attractions and the carnival that was happening at the weekend. Did a little shopping Bex found a schoolbag she wanted and brought herself some stationary. I (well hubby) brought me a t-shirt from Guess in the sale 1/2 price £18. Marks and Spencer for snacks and drinks fro the room to enjoy late evening. Took photos of the Superlambananas

After booked into hotel and unpacked our cases had a lovey stroll around the dock looking at the restaurants enjoying the wonderful surroundings taking even more photos of Superlambananas.

In the evening we went to the Ha Ha Bar for dinner very tasty food we all enjoyed and the cocktails were two for one and even better when we looked at the bill in the evening we had four cocktails for the price of one. After our meal we strolled around the docks and the Tate was open, a special evening it was lovely music playing a a really nice atmosphere.

Wii game arrived today Olympic Sports so the girls had fun on that whilst I finished packing and sewing the labels in Mills school uniform. At about 6:00pm I finally got the Wii fit on and I'm happy as it told me I'd lost a 1lb and only 6lbs to my goal!! But that will chance over the hols!!!

Lazy Day

Hubby was working at Chersty today so early rise. I came back had my tea and spent on hour on Ebay and looking for different wii games on the web, as ebay can get a little boring at the mom as people aren't listing so much (or not in crafts anyway!!! - good job too as I desperately need to tidy my room and get sewing to make some space!!!)

Mills was going to Bluewater today with two friends, Chelsea was been dropped off at 8:30am so I woke Mills at 7:10 and then at 9:00 I was picking up Emma and taking them down as they were going to watch Journey to the Earth. Mills had a great time I picked them all up at 5:30. Mills actually managed to get through £25 with her generosity to her friends.

So I spent to day doing to little sorting in my room carrying on from yesterday I'm hoping to have my room 'organised by 1st Sept!! lol

Bex and I got are clothes ready for our hols and packed them into cases, Bex even got her travel bag reday too!! Hubby sorted his clothes out at bedtime so I with finsh packing our case tomorrow. That juet leaves Mills to get all all clothes and travel bag.

Mills school name labels arrived today so I may spend tomorrow sewing them in all her clothes.

Hubby arrived home a little earlier then normal from Chersty I picked him up at 6:55. We had pasta with crispy bacon for dinner and hubby exercised after. I'm going to have a nice toned hubby at Christmas!!

I'm so tired.....

Tidy up the lounge after the sleepover. Oh they had a good time - they certainly did NOT sleep and neither did any body in the house as they were so noisy and there were only three of them.

So a pretty lazy day just pottering around doing little bits- a few small alterations buttons on hubby's trousers, shorten my jeans, repaired Bex jacket sleeve. Tidied my desk in my sewing room- well it looks a little better but still more work to be done. Did a bit of weeding in the garden and picked the plums off the tree.

In the evening went to the station to get hubby's ticket for tomorrow, afterwards popped over to Rags but nobody was in so we carried on to Bluewater to have a coffee and look at Case shop as they had Radley bags reduced and hubby was going to buy me one for Xmas I liked the designs but they did not have a shoulder strap so I deided not to get one altough hubby was trying as he was pointing out other designs. Oh he does like to spoil me!

What a busy run around day!! After dropping the girls I went straight to Swanley to Asda and Aldi also had a little look around the market while there and picked up a magazine for a £1 bargain.

Getting food and preparing for Mills sleepover Bex did help a lot she blew all all balloons up and help arrange them, helped laying the table and it all looked wonderful and hopefully Mills will like it.

Mills and her friends liked it and they really enjoyed themselves.....Well they never slept at all and were NOISY to at midnight they pulled the party poppers and Mills was very LOUD too. At 5:30am they were in the garden singing Good Morning.....Hope the neighbours don't complaint I shall have to apologise next time I see them LOL!!!

Mills went to her new school today, she really enjoyed it and made new friends. When I picked her up we went shopping. Mills managed to get a frame that she wanted and I brought a new one to replace the broken one we had on the landing and also a beautiful orchids in vase for the landing. Oh I'm just so lucky to have such a wonderful hubby not only have I got my dream bathroom but also a dream landing too and he never says a word, just goes along with it.

Did some alterations work today completed shortening the trousers to the suits my brother brought over last Sunday, Great news while I was out shopping - a girls best hobby!! Daz rang and is coming over tomorrow so my dream bathroom will be totally finished by the end of the weekend especially if hubby finishes tiling the windowsill which I'm sure he will.

Hubby booked tickets to go and see Mama Mia, seen it on stage so I'm really looking forward too and Mills is coming along too, as Bex is going to see it with friends.

Wednesday, 9 July 2008

Hubby was working from home today.

I started the day painting Bex door as she wants to personalise it again. I did the bathroom wall so it looks perfect again now the ceiling has been done. Finished the landing walls and painted the ceiling white.

The other laundry basket arrived today so hubby built them both up.

Lunchtime we went to B&Q to get screws and rawplugs to put my unit up in the bedroom and also we got a strip of decorative wood for the edging when tiling the windowsill. Hopefully the wood will not be to wide. Had a Costa lunch while out.

The weather for the day was horrible so drove up to the school both times! Picked Mills up from school and she wanted to go down to Bluewater to get a present for Mr ball she came up with a wonderful idea class photo in a frame with extras decorated around. He was a teacher she had in year 5, she really enjoyed her year and he is leaving in july so she wanted to get him a good luck gift and I don't mind as he was an excellant teacher for Mills really encouraging and she progressed very well that year.

Tuesday, 8 July 2008

Another busy Day

Laundry basket arrived today but damaged so hubby rand and somebody phoned me back and they are sending another out tomorrow and to keep the other one for spare parts as it would cost to much to have it picked up.

Mills accidentally cut my snuggle cushion but I have managed to repair so it's unique now!!

Had Caribbean tea tonight I made beef patties, sweet potato skins.

Once again washing.

Did some alterations for a customer.

The school phoned me this morning and asked if I could help with making some chiffon dresses but I declined. I said I was too busy.

Yet more decorating

Today I spent most of the day painting doors and I must say they look great. My landing looks so much brighter. And the bedrooms do too as they have been refreshed as well. The house is certainly coming along and looks fantastic.

Mills went over to a friends this evening so I was on my larry walking back home and felt lonely too as I can not wait until she finishes her primary school as I'm not too happy that they have NOT recognised all her hard efforts, never letting them down. She has had two excellent teachers in the latter two years so I mustn't grumble really, but each year she tried so very hard to achieve either a govoners award or a golden certificate. I really don't know WHAT a child has to do to achieve these but she knows we're really proud of ALL her achievements even if the school fails her.

Hubby was working in Chersety , so not many tea breaks today.

My Friday gift this week was Levi Roots cook book which I added to my Amazon wish list a fortnight ago after looking at it in Asda. So guess what Caribbean week next week!!

Thursday, 3 July 2008

Watered all the plated in the garden and we sat in the garden for two hours this evening and it was really enjoyable.
