Two Days - as busy yesterday!!

Sunday we finally finished the tiling in the bathroom and it took a lot longer then anticiaoaeted and the shelf idea dad planned didn't quite work out but it still looks fab and is accessable if need be which was the most omportent thing!! Well I am pleased with the overall decorating and its all comoing together nearly finished. Rags is coming over nexr Saturadyto do the ceiling and hopefullt we will see Daz in thw week to fit out radiator

Toady I caught up on all the washing and claened the landing carpet and all the fan light windows and the bathroom.

Planned the weeks for the week and made a shopping list for Waitrose as picking hubby up so he can walk over to me while I'm shoppping. We find it is no mre expensive then Asda really and the food is always so tasty so its worth the extra little bit, but I really don't think there is that much diference.

A wonderful enjoyable Day

Mum and dad came over so dad could finish the wood work in the bathroom so we can finish the tiling today, my brother rags rang today and was going to come over and do the ceiling for us but he said he will ring next week and do it next Saturday so I think it will be CELEBRATION TIME next week as the bathroom will hopefully be finished- I'm hoping Daz will come over in the week and fit my radiator.

Customers due at 10am and 11am today but the 10am did not turn up OH i do wish they would have manners and ring if they are not going to come but my 11am customer came and I knew she would as she is a regular customer often needs sleeves shortening.

Family gathering at mum in laws today- it was a lovely day chatting to Lynne and Audrey and mum in law although not much chatting to Rob and Rose.

Alterations and DIY

My day begun with washing and watering of the plants.

10:00am customer - bringing me 4 skirts to shorten - working week to week and I'm on top of the work coming in so to keep it this way I shortened the skirts today as I had a customer coming this evening but I doubt if I will be able to help her as the wedding dress is three sizes to big.

Did a little work on Mills prom outfit.

Mills room needs her clothes sorting out so this afternoon instead of going swimming which I know I should have gone but just lately I'm never in the mood although know I enjoy the swim time with Mills. Well all the clothes got sorted so it was a good job done so I don't feel to bad BUT hopefully next week we WILL go swimming!!

Tidying and Dejunking!!

Tidying up and dejunking is going well but so time consuming. I'm hoping to start crafting again at the beginning of July as I'm really missing it with all the decorating going on although it been worth all the hard work and the time away from crafting as my house is really starting to look great now so its all been worth it and the bathroom and certainly been worth the wait its so fabulous. Althiygh my bedroom will have to be next year now as the bathroom has cost a lot more then expected but looks marvellous so definatly worth it.

Went shopping to Bluewater for Mills to get prom jewrellery. Did a little more work on Mills prom outfit, the jacket now has lining.

Another bathroom weekend!!

Mum and Dad came over today as my brother was coming over to do the bathroom wall for us so we could then get on with the tiling. Oh I'm so looking forward to the bathroom been finished I started preparing it at the beginning my May so my shower has been out of action since then ( well not totally but its not the same showering kneeling down in the bath!!). But I'm so pleased with the progress so far so it has been a lot of hard work but its all coming together and I shall really enjoy it when its all finished.

Mum finally enjoyed the Grill-a-Que dinner as did everyone else but if you have been following my blog mum misssed it last time as she was called to go to the home as her mum was not well.

I was beading Mills dress today as its so time comsuming but its coming along and I'm nearly finished now. We need go go out and get accessories.. tirara, necklace, bangle and tights which we may do on Tuesday. As it all needs to be ready for July 2nd.

Hubby working from home today, so nice to have company. We had subway lunch two can eat for £5.99 and also managed to take the ice cube maker back to Argos and get a refund as it just didn't work!! Not only that it didn't work but it is an ice TUBE maker NOT cube!!! So I'm just going to have to remember to fill my ice cube trays in the summer!!!

Today I spring cleaned my lounge, the dust gets every where when decorating!! Caught up yet again with the washing and ironing - that's just a roundabout that never stops....it seems just as I've emptied it it all back again!!!

Mills got back from her school journey and was the last one to be picked up as they arrived back early and we didn't get up there until 6:00 so all the others had gone!! Never mind Mills had a great time away... We certainly know she is back Chatter Chatter Chatter and its so nice really!!
Mills brought us some lovely gifts a necklace for Bex, Fudge for dad and Mum Teddy for me. She took loads of pictures which we will take in tomorrow to get developed.

Great Day--Repair Successful!!!

Hubby was working from home today. Lunch time took the passports to the post office but neede a few corrections so will be taking them back next week (Well hopefully!!)
Today was spent tidying Mills room and getting some marks off the new sink. I didn't seem to get much done today but it was so time consuming get the marks off the sink but I achieved it which was the main thing. It quite amazing what can be achieved with crayons, pencil, eraser, facial wipe and pen paint.
I had a customer phone and book an appointment for this afternoon. A prom dress that needed taking in and shortening. Needs to be ready for next Thursday. I also had another call and booked an appointment for 10:00am Sunday - a brides dress taking in. I worked on Mills prom dress today sewing on beads and sequins.
Jellybean and Squiggles went in their new run today in the garden and they loved it. While in the garden I did a bit of weeding and watered the flowers

Eltham, Swanley, Dartford

Hubby was working in London today and I was off to Eltham for the morning as I wanted to go to B&Q and dad gets 10% off on Wednesdays so after dropping Bex at school and hubby at the station I drove straight there. Arriving at mums nice and early 8:20 after having a cup of tea and chat went in dads car to B&Q.
Just before going to B&Q dad pulled in at lilleys as my brother gave me some items to return so £14 refunded in my card there, then we pulled onto B&Q ...Dad came in with a trolley went and got paint for doors landing, switch, sealant for kitchen and when we went for the wood while looking at the wood our trolley which we left in the next isle had disappeared obviously they have nothing better to do at the Eltham store than put items back on shelves!! So dad headed to the till with the wood while mum and I went round again to collect the same items once again but another item I added some filler and dad noticed too!! just checking your memory I said. Well £32.00 spent there and a saving of £3.20 with dads over 60's card!!

Went back to mums and loaded the items in my car , just walked through the door when mum said we haven't been to Swanley market for ages, so dad drove us to Swanley market which I haven't been too for quite a while dad and I always used to go every Wednesday when Mills was a baby. I brought some fabulous magazines and a few cakes then back to mums to have lunch.

And a puzzle book for the hols as we are travelling up by train.

I left at about 2:00pm and headed to Crayford to the Pet City and treated Jellybean and Squiggles to some toys and also picked up the run which the girls wanted. Back home to unload.

I then remembered about paying in Bex money so headed down to Dartford and paid the money in and even more shopping this time in Asda living, bathroom soap dish and tumbler and tea towel, towel , muffin cases and jug for the kitchen.
Picked Bex up after her Science club and we then got Jellybean and Squiggles out to play with their new toys that I brought them. They really liked the log.

  5. Guinea Pigs - Pets at home health check 5:00pm
  6. Customer collection 2:00pm ( gold bridesmaid dress)
  7. Bathroom door surround sanding and painting.

All the above tasks were completed today. The house is starting to look really nice especially with all the room been refreshed, thats the beauty of having painted walls.

The health check went fine, a bit annoying that they were running 25 minutes late!!

Finding all those socks while spring cleaning mills room but still a few more cupboards to do!! While Mills is away on her school journey I can take my time and do a cupboard each day so she will come back to a lovely Spring Cleaned room each and every item has a home but I JUST hope she will keep it like it.

More Decorating

Mills off on her School journey today and was looking forward to it so much. I hope she has a fabulous time and takes lots of photos.

Today I had a customer collection at 11:00am, so while I was waiting I started tiding Mills room and also I refreshed the paint and painted the radiator lilac so Mills will come back to a nice Spring Cleaned room and hopefully she will keep it tidy!!
Carried the boards for the wall upstairs to the landing ready for the work to be done so it makes it more easier and run more smoothly having the items nearby and also trying to make my hallway look more reasonable again. The work in the bathroom has gone really well and I'm so pleased with the progress so far. BUT I am looking forward to it been finished like everyone.

Had cuddles with Squiggles as I told Mills I will look after him and take good care of her guinea while she was away. She took photos with her of her new guinea.

Another wonderful day

Bex brings us a tea and coffee in bed--this is rare hence why its in the blog!!! It was really nice we enjoyed our drinks!!

We had a trip to Ikea as we all like the meatballs and wanted to get a few accessories for the bathroom. Brought mirrors, toothbrush holder, toilet brush, clock, toilet roll holder and bath board. Also picked up frames for Mills room, Film strip frame for the hallway and also Bex brought one for herself So £65 pounds spent today. I treated family to lunch as everyone loves meatballs.

Arrived back home had cuddles with Jellybean and Squiggles, Jellybean loves to hide. Jellybean and Squiggles enjoyed fresh carrot today but they were not so keen on the yogurt treats.

After that moved on to grouting the bathroom floor with hubby as its nice working together as a team. The bathroom floor looks superb -- hubby did an excellent job as always! Well nearly always!!

As it was Fathers day the girls wanted to order in so we had Pizza for dinner.

New additons to the family

The day starts with the bathroom floor, hubby did an excellent job. The girls built the hutch for the guinea pigs which we were going out this afternoon to look. So at 2:00pm we left and hubby carried on with cutting the tiling just two rows left to cut when I left but he was happy for me to go. I went to mums first had a sandwich and tea before leaving to go to Charlton Pets at Home store...no luck with the guineas not much choice but i did buy a indoor cage ,sawdust, hay, toy, and nail cutters. So off to Crayford and the girls liked two we we now have two additions to the family,,,Jellybean and Sqiggles they are adorable. Hubby phoned me and said he finished the cutting of the tiles so I told him I would be back home in about an hour 45. So he waited for me to come home before gluing them down. Now at the end of the end tiles are laid, door hanging and Jellybean and Sqiggles settling in to their new home after hubby had to made some amendments to the hutch.

Allsorts Day

Today I gave the final coat of paint to the bathroom wall, so now I need to ring Daz and ask him nicely to come and fit the towel rail radiator for us. The bathroom is coming along very nice and I'm looking forward to the tiles going up.

I did a customer alteration tapering in at the sides of a dress which took longer than expected as it had French seams and I always do the alteration like for like., but I did manage it and it looks nice just need to machine in the zip.MUST do over the weekend as its a collection for Monday morning.
Had a wonder around Bluewater looking for Bathroom accessories but did not buy anything.
Picked Mills up from school and after walking back went straight to Crayford to pick up the boards for the wall. And also the guinea Pig hutch which the girls are buying between them as they are so keen on having pets. I also treated my self in Boots with pampering products £51.00.

Picked up hubby from station and then took a few things back to B&Q and got refunds. Then went to Asda living Mills wanted a notepad and hubby wanted to get me a Friday gift as nothing arrived in the post. First I chose pens but then changed my mind and chose a super duper peeler!!

Dreams come true

My brother certainly made sure my dream bathroom would come reality, he offered to plumb it in for me and when the time came he made it into 'DIY SOS' as he asked dad and eldest brother to help too, Party, Party Party. It was a fabulous weekend a lot was achieved as I did not chose easy taps or bath. Well I thought he would like a challenge!! I think they all enjoyed themselves and I'm over the moon with the bathroom so far. It was marvelous what they achieved I'm so thankful to all as its so perfect in every way!
Last night we brought in Chinese but I didn't think they would want that again so I did a grill-a-que buffet tonight. All enjoyed.
Mum had hurt her back so i suggested that she shoud just come down sit relax and knit as I know been home alone can be lonely and also I knew that mum would be thinking about nan and its nice to have company and someone to talk to and I couldn't help much with the bathroom either!! So mum was having a nice relaxing weekend, well until...
Took the girls over to mum-in-laws and mum came with me too which was very nice. While at mum-in-laws mum got a call on her mobile that nan ( her mum) was ill so I drove mum to the home. So that wasn't too nice a news but hopefully everything will be fine. It was a shame that mum couldn't enjoy the tea too as she helped solve the meal by suggesting the grill-a-que.
Dad left first to go straight to the hospital. And about 45 mins later Daz left who arranged the Party Bathroom weekend and Rags left about 1 hour later.

What a Day!!

Today was a clearing up and tidying up day. The bathroom is all ready for my brother now. I got the flooring up today and knocked off the last few tiles. Hubby remove the bath panel and removed a few raw plugs. I have put down some plastic fabric that I've had for at least 17 years - I seem to remember buying it at Deptford market I must have had some plans for it at the time.... But now it came in very handy!! So its always worth hanging on to things occasionally!!!

The landing is now clear, sorted out all the toiletries that came off the shelves in the bathroom and moved the medicine cabinet downstairs and have asked hubby now to hang it up in the cupboard downstairs.

Hubby got round to finally finishing the boarding up in the porch meter cupboard so this week I will get round to painting it.

Moved the fabrics that I was storing in the lounge to my sewing room so now my room looks like fabricland!!!
