My Day
I went back up to the hospital taking darling hubby a Krispy Creme doughnut that he wanted he was just about to watch a film as I turned up but he was really pleased to see me.
He is making a fabulous progress and so far has managed to do everything the physiotherapist has asked him to do and with each task he set himself he has managed to do that too ----the other day he was determined to open the little jam pot and he was so pleased with himself as he did it all little tasks that he completes is a success and I'm so happy for him AND best of ALL he has managed to get to a stage that he can COME HOME and NOT go to a rehabilitation centre. That was such great news to hear and the consultant said I would take that offer as I never thought that would be an option. I'm so loooking forward to him coming home as its been 5 weeks. So Friday is going to be a FABULOUS day and finally we can celebrate for mills getting the school she wanted as a family.

Hubby super Progress & Dress Shopping
I arrived at the hospital at 8:45 to do my duties of caring for my wonderful hubby. He went for his physiotherapy today and has made great progress tis time he managed to walk at the pararell bars- I'm so proud of him he is making such super progress - the consultant was surprised too at the rate my hubby has improved so he will not be going to rehab unit but will be in hospital for the next two weeks and then return as an outpatient so it was brilliant news today.
I left hubby today at 6:15 to go looking for a pretty frock for a special occasion as hubby said he wants take me out and treat me.

London Convent Garden
The day started with snow, we walked to the station and got the train to charing Cross - the girls were hungry so they chose a sausage roll and cheese and onion pastry. We walked to the Aquarium but that was amazingly busy and had such a huge queue that the girls did not want to waot so we walked to Convent garden and had a wonderful time there. We looked at all the craft stalls and Mills brought herself a painted name, she has liked these for a long time. brought hubby a t-shirt and went to Cybercandy store they just love that shop - can be expensive though but they were very good and chose three/ four items each and they really enjoyed them. We went to the transport museum and had a wonderful time there before going onto Macdonald's as they were hungry enough for Pizza Hut. We then walked onto Hamleys but sadly they were closed I thought they might be so we walked back trough Carnby street and went in a few shops there before making are way back to the station to catch the train back as both girls were tired and their feet were aching. We arrived back and walked back from the station straight up to the hospital and hubby was so pleased to see us.
We all had a great day!!!

Hubby made good progress
Well he was smiling when I turned up which is really nice as I'm so happy to see him again as the night time is so lonely when the girls have gone to bed. I sit in bed drinking my tea always wishing hubby a quick recovery at least to come home and go as an out patient for physiotherapy and often see him in my dreams making good progress so I hope my dreams come true. He is making good steady progress so far I think and he is pleased with his progress so far and also the doctors are pleased too as on Monday the consultant mentioned rehabilitation in two weeks time. He manages to wash and put his t-shirt on himself now which a week ago he could not do that. Today he went for his second physiotherapy and moved on from the wooden standing frame to a different standing frame and he did really well before leaving he managed to pull himself at the standing parallel bars and stand up straight I was so proud of him he did really well and I praised him up but I also said he must say if its too much. But he said he was happy with all he achieved!! So for him it was a fabulous day and also for me as hubby is making good progress and I'm so happy for him and I kept telling him how proud I was with all his progress. SO Today was a good day really lets hope the progress continues to be good and steady I know its not going to be quick but we are hoping that he will be able to mange stairs in 10 weeks time so he can come home and then be treated as an out patient thats what we BOTH really want as we miss each other terribly.

King's Hospital
I took the girls to get their eggs from Hotel Chocolat while there brought hubby a doughnut from Krispy Creme as I was going back up to see him to take him drinks and his mints and tell him about the phone call I had from a wife whose husband had recovered from GBS and how he will make a full recovery although it will be a long time. I put the girls dinner in and then went up to see hubby he was really pleased to see me again and he enjoyed the doughnut was a lovely surprise he said. I massaged his legs as they were aching at the back and then made sure he was comfortable in bed before I left. Oh I wish the healing time would hurry but patience is something I'm going to have to learn now and I will certainly look forward to the day he can come home.
The past week has had its ups and downs. But it seems to be getting better each day, the consultant was pleased with the progress and said another two weeks then he will be moving on the rehabilitation stage, which we know may be a long time but its going in the right direction which is the main thing.

Day Four
It now 11:30 and I'm just so tired........ As I was woke up with a text at 2am from hubby I got up and had a cup of tea and sat just waiting to hear what the doctor had to say. At 5:05 I went to bed to try and get some sleep and another text - for a chat this time which was wonderful.
I did try and get some nap time but no luck I dare say I WILL sleep at the weekend as I'll be counting down the days and then the hours. So I got on with my sewing and knitting.
We had another chat at lunchtime too oh so nice to hear him, I just wish the time would go quicker as it seems to be going so slowly. I phoned him this evening but at first I was very worried as it took me 4 times before he answered after 4 /5 rings it goes to voicemail so i cut off then tried again finally he answered, he was trying to get some sleep so hopefully when I speak to him tomorrow he'll be telling me he is starting to feel better as I want him to complete his training. The doctor gave him some tablets and will be in to see him again in the morning. Oh how I wish I could be there for him. I'm looking forward to our chat agin in the morning hopefully it will be early again 6:00am.

He text me ring to ring the meeting place for a chat and that was absolutely wonderful and told me not to worry he is OK just tired and stress at the situation been so long away from me. He sent 2 lovely ecards one for Mills (she loved it) and one for Me (brought tears me my eyes)

Showed Mills the photo of dads meal and her face said it all!!! That's discussing, Did he eat that? "I'd rather stave" she said. I said I'd email dad and tell him. Oh don't tell him just say instead - "its look gorgeous" and well dad has different taste buds!!
Well its 9:15 now so I'm going to have a cup of tea and some breakfast then start my sewing and knitting - dolls clothes.
We're going to eat at Nandos tonight as the time is just going so slowly, I can't wait for Saturday to come and go as then I'm counting only a few days.

Day Two
My list I did this morning, Some of the fairy skirts in the making and doll headbands I knitted . It was nice knitting relaxing with my feet in my new foot spa, just wonderful pure luxury.
Well got up at 5:30 as I was wide awake. Bex thinks I'm mad 'ridiculous' she said as I told her I went to bed at 12:30 and was up at 5:30 as she was said she was tired when I woke her at 7:00. Woke Mills she still had a big smile on her face after the excellent news yesterday - she got into the school she wanted and went into school with a spring in her step.
Hubby text me this morning to ring into the conference so we can chat. It was short and sweet and lovely to hear his voice, I was OK to begin with but then I got little bit tearful thinking its another 11 nights. He'll text me again tomorrow for another little chat and will text me this evening.
Its now 9:25am and I'm going to have a coffee and chocolate before working through my list.
Cut out the skirts and started sewing them up then I popped out to get Millie a balloon and card.
Back home fairly soon and have a bite to eat (banana + snack-a-jack and cup of tea) hopefully my headache will clear soon.
Oh I'm not at all in the mood for swimming tonight but Millie will be so I will go and hopefully swim lots of lengths to tire me out so I will get some sleep tonight. Hubby must be busy at work as emails as few and chat was short but hopefully that means he will be back sooner!! (Oh I wish - but I know that will NEVER happen!!! - no matter how hard I wish him home soon) At least he seems OK and colleges are looking after him.
The girls were very loud and hyer this evening, rather looking forward for them going to bed this evening for a bit of piece and quiet as they were LOUD and acting daft too! Which can be nice but just a bit too much this evening!!!
I'm going to have a nice relaxing bath this evening . I'm hoping tomorrow I will get more done and just get stuck into the work for the day, I have no need to go out and will be having dinner at Nandos and hopefully too the girls will be much better tomorrow and not so hyer!!

Work planned
Its 8:03am and Mills says I wonder how dad is feeling as I was telling them that I went to bed at 1:30 and was up again at 5:30 but I haven't heard from dad and I thought I would have done by now well perhaps theres no connection???? I did put my PC on to look at my emails but no news!!! I'm hoping to hear shortly. Mills has just made me a nice cup of tea and gave me a nice hug, and now is telling me about a programme is watched last night.
Its now 8:11 and nearly time to drop my youngest at school, I shall come back and get straight on with sewing the dolls clothes and then Mills quilt. The weather is bright blue sky and sunny which helps as I hate dull days so I hope to sunshine lasts for the fortnight.
Well I kept busy for most of the day sewing up dolls clothes and blocks for Mills quilt about 6 blocks left to complete and a few dolls clothes to finish.
Great News Mills got the school she wanted. We had sweet 'n' sour chicken for dinner.
I shall hopefully prepare my work tonight for tomorrow to keep me busy. Had a few phone calls but have told people that I'm not taking on any work until the 17th March but the first customer the dress is cut on the bias and slippery satin fabric so I'm not keen on taking this one on the the second customer said she was looking at getting the work done in the summer as its to reline a mens overcoat.
First Day
Finally at 9:30 I get a phone call form hubby so lovely to hear his voice. He had sent me texts but I just hadn't received them. Thinking about him all morning at at 12:26 (6pm in mumbi) I sent him an ecard - missing you. At 12.50pm he rings me just wonderful to chat, he just got to the hotel and can't wait to get back home. It was a horrible journey and very lonely. Another 12 nights to go well hopefully he can manage to get back earlier I will keep my fingers crossed for him and I do hope the time will pass quickly and that work /training is excellent and gets all completed and that colleges will look after him and take him shopping at the weekend. I hope he comes back saying that it was all worth while as it would be so annoying if the training didn't get completed.
