We covered such a lot today although very annoying that we could not find the beer garden that we wanted. When we arrived home and looked it up we were just so close!! Never mind its gives an excellent reason to go back one day. As Munich is such a wonderful, beautiful city just great for a long relaxing weekend.
Schwabing and University districtThere is a lot a numerous museums, the university, polytechnics, colleges and libraries.
The Victory Gate-designed for victory parades in honour of the Bavarian army, the gate damaged in World War ll, has been restored. The 1958 inscription reads "Dedicated to victory, destroyed in war,an entreaty for peace"

Walking Man by J Borofsky

Schwabing has plenty of shops, and pavement cafes of which we enjoyed ice-cream sundae each even though it was only 10:30am. One of the routes highlights in the Walking Man (1995) a 17m (55ft)high sculpture.
Sendlinger Strasse and Sendlinger TorOne of the oldest shopping streets with several traditional stores.

OlympiaparkWe went to the Olympiapark did not go up the tower although it would have been nice but hubby seemed in a hurry to get a lot of things covered today. We went in the BMW showroom for a little bit but I'm not really into cars. After about 1/2 hour we left so didn't really explore that much but I must admit |I was not that impressed with the area and the tower did look like it was closed off as building works was going on.

The shopping centre we visited after Olympiapark.
It was just another two stops that's all.
There is lots of shops and places to eat.
Hubby brought me my anniversary gift
a necklace and two charms.
Quite a nice shopping centre but with the pound pour against the Euro things are quite expensive and when prices are shown in both £ and E you can clearly see its cheaper in £'s. Not that we visited Munich for shopping! But a girl must see the shops!!
We ended the day in Munich town centre.
