I'm hoping to make a lot of space in my room for ALL the fabrics hubby will bring back from India!!! (Hope your reading this dear hubby xxxx. )

Enjoyed a garlic crust meatball deli pizza with potato wedges sweet chilli dip and nachos from PizzaHut ( would not order that one again nice but it was deep pan and we prefer thin base) with the girls - hubbys treat for the family.

Watched a film tonight and this time did not fall a sleep - something about Mary .

Shopping, tidiying and knitting

First thing after dropping Mills off a customer arrived ...Whoops!! I once again forgot I had a customer coming. I apologized and told her that hubby is going to India on business so not quite with it and trying to get my head around it as we're not going to find it easy as he is going for 2 weeks. She has been to me before with alterations about 4 years ago ( as she said I as working on a family wedding). She brought me 2 pairs of mens trousers to shorten, trousers to take in and top to take up the shoulder on a top. Will be collecting Tues evening next week.

Went shopping mainly to get Mills a new pair of plimsolls but while there I could not pass Sussex book store by without popping in. Well I came out with two books. I just need some time!!!

I'm planning on doing some of the projects while hubby is away as they look quick and easy so should be enjoyable as I'm not going to find it easy with him been away that long, so easy projects projects should hopefully past the time away.

My new camera arrived today that I treated myself to as I've started project 365 I want to carry the camera all the time and I just love the colour pink. If you can get the gadet in pink thats what I'll normally what I'll chose. NOT house decor tough especially as I've got older it used to be a very pink house but now its only pink gadgets!! Oh hubby so relieved that I've got away from pink house decor.

Spent time on the web looking at holiday accommodation for Edinburgh for 2009 - Wow so expensive but will look around may think of a Europe holiday instead. Also I spent some time printing off a few knitting patterns that I can knit in bed while hubby is away. Tiny socks, a kitty, headband, cupcake egg cosies and slice of cake.

Just a lazy Day

Mills and I went shopping first thing for some fruit and we got Easter eggs too!!! Thats not long now oh events seem to come up so quick and just got over the expense of the one and another arrives... We got back home at 100am and Mills offers to make me a tea and sandwich, which was really nice and tasty too.
We watched Keeping up Appearances and the cruise episode mum mentioned at the weekend (as mum and dad are going on a cruise next year) was on the disc, so at the weekend I can now say to mum I think I've finally seen them all now. Mills loves watching the old programmes I brought her Worzel Gummidge about 7 years ago as I loved watching it when I was a child and she loved it too, she sees these other programmes at my mum and dads - Hetty Wainthrope and brought that CD set too but she will watch over and over again.

Mills helped sort my buttons and beads today and was really helpful. And we played Yahtzee and I won.

Bags that I brought on Ebay turned up today. So my cakes look like the bakery now. My Simply knitting magazine turned up too.

Not much to report today

Went shopping to pick up air as my eldest had a sleepover with the Rangers today and then had to go back into town to get an air pump... rather embrassing as the guy in Argos recognized me and said Back Again.
Had three customer collections today 9:30am 4:00 and 4:30 and 5:00.
Did some tiding in my room - sorting dolls clothes so next week hope to clear the part made items and start clearing more fabric as hubby is off to India on business and I'm hoping he will bring me back a nice new range of fabrics from India.
And finally ended my day searching the internet for a foot spa so I can have wonderful pamoer nights as I'm going to miss him so much.

Delious knitting

I started my day at 5:45 making hubbys breakfast and lunch. Finally got round to watching the DVD that came with my knitting magazine reviews on some lovely needles and wool.
www.jamipossum.com www.knitncaboodle.co.uk www.kangaroo.uk.com www.theyarnbarnltd.co.uk www.foreignstrand.co.uk www.woollyworkshop.co.uk I think the Friday fairy may be sending hubby a few notes otherwise notes may appear in his packed lunch box.
Listened to some podcasts 'Knitpicks' the book reviews sounded really good an area that I would love to try felting......I may be adding them to my Amazon wish after looking at them.
10:30 arrives and I pick up my youngest from a sleepover. We go shopping bargain 4 nighties from Peacocks £4.00 set of two buy one get one free oh she was so happy she loves a bargain too!

Food Knitting
I sat and a lot of knitting today while watching Keeping up Appearances with my youngest now I just have to sew them up and decorate them with beads....delicious cakes the non-fattening variety!! My task for tomorrow.
We also played games just a relaxing day and so nice to do occasionally.
My daughter also wanted to do some knitting so found her some yarn and cast on 15 stitches and she enjoyed knitting a few rows after 8 rows I now count 20 stitches but its lovely knitting anyway.

Washing, washing and more

The days starts with a phone call waking me up at 7:00am, the school have phoned they are arrived back earlier then scheduled and will be arriving back at 9:00am so hubby phones the next two in the tree. Arrived on time and she had a great time it was lovely to have Bex back home. Bex stayed at home to rest and watch all the programmes she requested us to record.

We then Waitrose shopping, and also managed to pick up some bargains on chicken and beef making the money go further, I love Martins money tips and take note of his advise so then we can have more luxuries and at the same time have good tasty food!

I got up to date with all the washing today from the week and especially the ski trip. Tidied the lounge put all things in the correct rooms. I cleared the pile of the free London newspapers that hubby brings home everyday as I like to read them saves buying a paper too so all hose pennies are mounting up! So with a tidy lounge it leaves me free tomorrow to do guess what .....The ironing. Oh housework never stops!!

I also hope to get all the following done too
  1. Start with the ironing
  2. Shorten a customer skirt
  3. shorten a brides dress
  4. Make more progress on Mills quilt
  5. Customer collection and phone customer Jean - alterations ready to collect
In the evening have to collect Mills from mothers in laws as she had a craft day. Pop in mum and dad as they have a problem with emails so hopefully hubby will be able to sort it out. It will be a long day tomorrow.

Decided to order my pink digital camera . I went for the OLYMPUS MJU280, the other one I was looking at was the SONY CYBERSHOT CPU W80.

Well thats my day!!!

What a wonderful day

The morning daughter was at swimming lessons then spent the morning and early afternoon at mum and dads.
Dropped Mills at mother-in-laws popped home and got changed before going to Bluewater to check out the restaurants to enjoy a nice meal together. We liked La Tasca and Santa FE but decided to eat at Santa Fe this time and next time we will go to La Tasca. We really enjoyed our meal, the food was great and the service excellent.
Afterward we went shopping, i was looking for a pink digital camera but ended up buying a pink i-pod case....great bargain £12.25 from John Lewis half price so I couldn't resist. I decided to look on-line for the camera. I did see a couple of DS games I liked Word Power and Maths Challenge but I'm just going to add them to my wish list at the moment. We enjoyed a Krispy Creme coffee an donut before coming home..... Wow how lucky am I??? I left my handbag behind I realized after about minute raced back didn't see it a first but a kind gentleman had handed it to the staff and saw me franticly looking so told me ... I thanked him so much.

A dull cold Day

It was a dull and cold day today so I didn't get as much done as I wanted as I just love to see the sunshine because it makes me feel good, I hate dull days.

Well I finished two customer alterations a skirt taking in and jacket sleeves shortening. I had two customer appointments booked for today Linda at 09:30 for skirt shorten and Wendy at 4:00pm for bride dress shorten.

I then starting sewing up more blocks for Mills quilt its coming along but still a long way to go.
My Friday gift this week was a book Mixed media I just need some time, the book is great with tons of information and I just want to get started.

My hobbies are overflowing I just have too many craft interests but its good in one way because at least my year can be varied and should never be boring but bad in another as I just don't have the time to complete all my challenges!

Valentines

I was busy all day with preparing fr Valentines and customer alterations as I want to get as I want to keep on top of the work as its half term next week.

I started the day looking for the recipes and by 9:30 I was all ready to hit the shops with my shopping list. I went to Asda to get the groceries then on Matalan as I wanted two individual pie dishes for this evening, ended up in TK Max and managed to get two wonderful Le Crusset heart shaped ones and in green so they match my kitchen too!! Asda were selling the helium balloons three for £3.

I decided to make steak and guiness pie for the main course and truffle cake for dessert.
I arrived back home with all the goodies ready to get started on the cooking as it all needed to be prepared before picking youngest up from school as it was swimming night tonight. Well I managed to get it all prepared. Just the tabel to do when i get back.

A busy Day

Sewing
Mills quilt is coming along cut out all the pieces and drew up the the pieces on tear away as this is the method I' using to make the quilt. Mills likes it so far and I'm a little unsure if its going to look the way I want it too.
Alterations
Did customer alterations today. Dolly brought me quite a few alterations do do. So I stopped the quilt to hopefully get all the alterations all finished y Friday although I do have another two customers booked for Friday, one at 9:30 so hopefully I can complete that one and the other is due at 1:30 so this may have to be collected in two weeks instead of one as its half term next week.
Knitting
Did a little bit of knitting - a base case for the fairy cake. I brought beads on Ebay today to decorate the cakes I'm making - spent £5.35 and £12.70 on beads so the cakes will sparkle and be very pretty. I'm going to sell them along with all my other creations at Christmas fayre that I'm going to do this year. I've been saying for years that I will do a school Xmas fayre but have never had enough made up, but now I have all these ideas and creating them so I will have variety to offer people great for stocking fillers and it will give me a little pocket money to spend on my crafts.
Get Knitted phoned me yesterday my Knit Picks double pointed harmony needles are on order and will take about 2 weeks. Hubby brought me these instead of Sox Stix an order that I canceled as it was taking to long so with the refund I chose these instead. So I'm really looking forward to these arriving in a few weeks, I'm really pleased with the Knit picks aluminum set that hubby brought me for a Friday gift a couple of weeks ago.

Bathroom

Ordered our new bathroom suite from the bath store today. Its my dream bathroom and my brother offered to plumb it in for me so it will be an absolutely fantastic dream come true Bathroom as he is an excellent plumber and plasterer and all DIY really and he makes sure its just so perfect. He helped with my kitchen plastered the ceiling and the wall so my kitchen is just perfect and oh so fantastic and it wouldn't have been so brilliant without his plastering and of course the help of my dad too with the building up of the wall between the kitchen and the lounge all other building work as we removed two built in cupboards and made the area bigger so I could have my Fridge and Freezer that I so wanted to make it my perfect kitchen.

Now hubby's working in London i@m in the kitchen a lot more preparing and creating delious tasty meals and its such a delight too working in my dream kitchen as everything is just as I wanted along with all the appliances too!

Saturday

Mills went swimming and a put ANOTHER compliant in about the room they had for swimming lessons. And to my surprise a got a phone call this afternoon. My complaint been the public had 1/2 the pool and the other half were for lessons but his reply was the public are complaining that the lessons are taking up to much space but what its boils down too as always with companies is the profit they can make and with public and lessons on at the same time it brings in more money. He tried telling me that the pool was 1/4 public and 3/4 lessons but I think he needs to get a tape measure out!!! I told him I wasn't going to renew the lessons but the only answer I got was OK.

Bex went on her skiing holiday today, she had been so excited and was counting down. Hope she has a great time an brings back lots of photos!!

Did more food knitting and tried doing some crochet, mainly just practisng with the hook and getting to grips with it.

My knitting magazine turned up today with a DVD that I must find time to watch!! So sme nice reading this evening and over the next days days. Downloaded lots more knitting patterns oh theres so much I want to knit I just need the time. I'm really enjoying my new found hobby.

Sorted out Mills quilt that I started making back in 2006 when I was doing a course but the course finished and I didn't renew. I'm hoping to get to finished by the end of Feb but it may take me to the end of March!!! And yes hopefully March 2008!

Hubby told me the news of him going to India for his job that it may possibly be two weeks Oh I hope not I will miss him so much. But I will look forward to him coming home hopefully he will have lots of nice fabrics and goodies

So the rest of my Day

So on receiving the bad news....I decided to refresh the landing with the new paint I brought last week I did the stair cheeks and now I have four door frames still to do but it is looking nice - a shade lighter than it was. Hoovered , washing, cleaned the lounge floor as I find housework gets these things of my chest as I put the aggression to good use working away.

Calming down....I did some knitting I knitted a cupcake, I brought the pattern from Ebay. I am pleased with the knitting. I have to sew it together hopefully it will look as good as the picture.

A customer just turned up at 4:30 for me to take a dress in and she wants to collect it tomorrow 1:30. So my first task of the day tomorrow will be this alteration. And I MUST tidy my room too!! ....As it is a bit out on control with so many hobbies.

Oh dear, I've had to confess to where I was hiding my over flow of fabric as hubby has ordered a rowing machine and he needs that space to store it when not it use.

BAC - Bad News

Today one of my tasks was to phone BAC to find out how the complaint about the front door as it was reported in October last year.
Well this is how it goes... a salesman came round to give us a quote on a window for the fornt of the house and it was the same guy that sold us the door and it noticed that it was in a bad state by the weather board.. it is starting to peel and also it said it was fading and this should not of happened so it was going to put a report in.
The next person was the surver that measured up the window and he took a photo of it to report
Another person came actually a technician and he said it was a maintence problem...hmmm I don't like the sound of this!! that was in January
And now when I phone I'm told it is OUR problem so now I'm left with a Top of The Range BAC door which cost over £2,000 that I have to paint every 6 years. Not good news so I thought I would let people know the customer service you receive from BAC!!!

Sewing all day Long

Two items that I won on Ebay arrived this morning and I'm so pleased with them. I've gone knitting mad and the teddy huggers for the dpns looked so cute I could not resist. The crochet hooks looked lovely so I treated myself as my challenge I set myself for this year 2008 would to be able to crochet.

Today I chose 6 pieces of fabric out to make up into First Annabell clothes. I managed to make up 5 pieces of which I managed to get two dress sets cut out and made up out of each piece so I was quite pleased with day.

I went swimming with my youngest and we both really enjoy it. Pancakes for tea, the girls just wanted pancakes but I made a Potato and chickpea curry from Sam Sterns book for hubby and I. We ate in with poppadoms and it was really tasty. I'm goin got have the rest for my lunch tomorrow.
